CROSKILLS - Energy training for the building sector
The project aims to define and quantify the needs and possibilities of the Croatian building sector in contributing to the achievement of ambitious national energy efficiency (EE) targets, which are aligned with the EU target of increasing EE for 20% by the year 2020. New strategic initiative under the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme aims to boost continuing of further education and training of craftsmen and other on-site construction workers and systems installers in the building sector.
In order to contribute to achieving the ambitious national EE targets, project CROSKILLS intends to: analyse the national status quo, develop a national roadmap for establishing a system of continuous energy efficiency education of building sector workers and assure an endorsement of the national road map and thus a system of market evaluation of qualified workforce
In simple words, this project aims to develop steps of action needed to upgrade the current knowledge and skills of workers in building and construction sector, to be able to adapt to new standards and requirements aligned with energy efficiency targets. The education is to be done in a systematic way, with set quality performance standards and based on baseline assessment of current knowledge and practice.
