About 1000 people living with HIV in Croatia

In Croatia, there are about 1,000 people living with HIV infection, of which about 250 people are affected by AIDS. Since 1985 when the first HIV cases were registered in Croatia, so far a total of 1300 persons are diagnosed with HIV infection, of which 220 patients have died, while 16 people this year, according to data from the Croatian Institute for Public Health published on the World AIDS Day which is celebrated annually on December 1.
UN rights expert calls all States to establish a ‘Femicide Watch’

Since 1999, by the decision of the United Nations, 25 November is celebrated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. It is also a reminder how women and girls around the world are facing violence in its many forms on the daily basis. This day is celebrated as a day of remembrance of the murder of the Mirabal sisters during the dictatorship in the Dominican Republic in 1960.

Free computer classes for Roma in Kutina

The Technical Culture Association Kutina, including informatics club BIT began with the implementation of computer training for Roma of all ages in Kutina. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Croatia has provided support for procurement of equipment, and equipment was donated by companies EPSCO Croatia and INA.

United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter, which was adopted back in 1945 by 51 countries. The Charter was adopted after the Second World War in order to preserve world peace and security, improve international cooperation and develop friendly relations among nations. Since then a lot has been done, much has changed, but the the world is facing many new challenges.

The Regional Security Sector Reform Platform (RSSRP) was presented to EU officials and the expert public on 21 September, 2015 in Brussels. The event, hosted by the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), marked the public launch of the platform and was an opportunity to raise awareness among key EU partners to its benefits.
