Photo exhibition to help NepalMay 12, 2015
On Friday, 22 May 2015 in Dubrovnik (ART radionica Lazareti – ARL) opens the photo exhibition „Humans of Croatia Help Nepal 2015“
When natural disaster shook the country leaving thousands of dead, we all start to remember how we can be human beings and humanitarians.
A powerful 7.9-magnitude earthquake shook Kathmandu, leaving thousands dead, collapsing buildings, destroying roads and levelling centuries-old temples among them UNESCO-recognized historical monuments. This was the worst shake in Nepal for more than 80 years.
Unfortunately, a few days ago a new powerful earthquake struck Nepal. According to preliminary data, the earthquake magnitude was between 7.1 and 7.4 on the Richter scale which has brought new victims and injured.
Therefore, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Croatia in cooperation with the Croatian Red Cross invites you to the photo exhibition of a group of photographers and amateurs who had the opportunity to visit, work or live in Nepal before this deadly earthquake that hit the country leaving thousands of dead and destroyed infrastructure.
The photo exhibition opens on 22 May 2015 in Art Workshop Lazareti, Dubrovnik (Frane Supila 8) at 19:00 hours.
During the exhibition you can provide financial support to UNDP through global web campaign account, and for each donation, citizens will have the opportunity to get a photo of Nepal before the earthquake to enable the memory of the citizens, streets, towns and villages lives on.
Last week, the photo exhibition "Humans of Croatia Help Nepal 2015" citizens were also able to see in Zagreb.
